The Pagano Chronicles, a Sicilian Family’s Journey into American Life, is all about connections: Links between a major branch of the Pagano family who remained in Carini and Terrasini, Sicily, and those who immigrated to achieve their version of the American dream in the early 20th century. But it’s also about today’s connections, and how several generations of modern-day descendants are all related – they’re cousins -- whether they know it or not.

This 392-page, non-fiction novel is filled with interesting stories about heartbreak and happiness, struggles and success, marriages, families, heroes, and everyday members of this large Sicilian family, which initially settled in Detroit and St. Louis, but are now located across the U.S. and Europe, including Terrasini and the greater Palermo, Sicily region. 

It also is an engaging tribute to the men, women, and children who bravely made their way across the Atlantic and created new lives in America for the betterment of themselves, their families, and succeeding generations. They were real people with their own unique and very real stories. May they never be forgotten.
